Prevocational accreditation process
A range of accreditation processes have been developed to ensure TMOs receive high quality education, training, assessment and support.
Please note that accreditation policies, guidelines and templates will be under review as we transition to the Australian Medical Council’s (AMC) National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training.
Term Descriptions
The term description document provides important information to TMOs regarding each rotation. Term supervisors should have considerable input into the content of the term description and are responsible for approving the content. Term descriptions may be supplemented by additional information such as clinical protocols that are specifically relevant to that term.
The AMC National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training is being implemented nationally from 2024 for PGY1 and PGY2 in 2025. The Term Description template has been revised to align with the term requirements stipulated within the AMC’s Training Environment – Requirements for prevocational training programs and terms.
