If you meet Ahpra’s English language skills registration standard (ELSR) through the combined education pathway or school education pathway, you may need to upload a Table of Education in your application as evidence.

If you meet the ELSR standards via the test pathway or the advanced education pathway, your test results or university transcript may be sufficient evidence.

It’s best to check which pathway you meet using the pathway selection tool on Ahpra’s website before you start your application, as you won’t be able to submit without the appropriate evidence.

If you’re applying for the Rural Intern Pathway, you’ll be asked the following questions within your application:

Separate to the Centralised Process, Local Health Networks also advertise positions through the year on the SA Health Careers website. Recruitment outside the Centralised Process is not subject to the same eligibility criteria.

No. Sunrise EMR and PAS training is no longer a requirement to apply through the Centralised Process.
If you’re made a provisional offer your employing LHN will provide any required training.

Only applicants graduating from an Australian Medical School in 2026 will need to provide an MIPN in their application. 
All other applicants can enter “N/A” in the application form when prompted. 

The following information was taken from the National Audit flyer, linked in the FAQ below:

The Intern Placement Number is a unique nine-digit number which has been generated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) and has been provided to medical schools for distribution to all 2026 final year medical students (in Australia).

If you do not have an Intern Placement Number issued or you have misplaced it, you must contact your medical school to have the number issued or reissued. Do not contact Ahpra.

Note: The Intern Placement Number is not your University Student Identification Number.

South Australia takes part in the National Audit of Intern Acceptances and Unplaced Applicants, which identifies applicants who are holding multiple intern acceptances across Australia. Applicants who have accepted more than one intern position will be contacted by the National Audit Data Manager. These applicants are then asked to withdraw from all intern positions, except the one that they intend to undertake for their intern year.
