The 2025 Medical Training Survey results are now available!

The Medical Training Survey (MTS) is a national, profession-wide survey of all doctors in training in Australia. It provides a confidential way to collect national, comparative data to support and strengthen medical training across the country.

While not everyone feels empowered to speak up, the MTS is an independent tool that gives doctors in training a safe and important voice on issues relating to their training.

Published annually, the MTS data is used by employers, colleges, educators and other stakeholders to strengthen medical training in Australia. By gaining a better understanding of the quality and experience of medical training from the perspective of doctors in training, stakeholders are able to identify areas of strength, improvements, potential issues, and opportunities to support their team.
